What is Ultherapy®?
Ultherapy® is the first and only non-invasive, FDA and Health Canada approved procedure used to non-surgically lift and tighten the skin. With the power of Ultrasound, the treatment delivers targeted energy to specific layers of tissue, the thermal effect jump starts the production of collagen deep within the skin.
How does Ultherapy® work?
Ultherapy® uses micro-focused ultrasound energy to create a thermal effect in the foundational layer of the skin, without disrupting the skins surface. The energy initiates the body's natural response to stimulate the growth of new collagen, a naturally occurring protein responsible for giving the skin its radiance and elasticity. Ultherapy® differs from other treatments as it goes deep into the skin and takes advantage of traditional ultrasound imaging, allowing us to accurately see through the layers of tissues, and concentrate on areas that need more of a collagen boost.

What to expect during and after Ultherapy®
During treatment:
Ultherapy® is completely customized, so the length of treatment will vary from patient to patient depending on the area being treated, and your individual treatment plan. During treatment, you will feel tiny amounts of energy being deposited under the skin, indicating that the collagen-building process has been initiated. You may experience the sensation of heat and or tingling while the energy is being delivered.
After treatment:
You can return to your normal activities immediately after treatment with no post-treatment restrictions. Your skin may appear flushed at first, but the redness is temporary and should calm within just a few hours!
Who is an Ultherapy® candidate?
Ideal candidates for Ultherapy® should:
- Have a fair amount of skin elasticity
- Have concerns about mild to moderate signs of facial aging
- Notice a mild to moderate droopiness of the skin
