What Is Excessive Sweating?
Excessive or uncontrolled sweating not directly related to high temperature or exercise is a medical condition known as hyperhidrosis.
Hyperhidrosis occurs in men and women, and most commonly affects underarms, hands, feet, face and scalp. The cause is a mystery, but what is understood is the nerves that control the sweat glands become overactive.
Hyperhidrosis can severely impact quality of life by causing social anxiety and embarrassment, and for patients suffering from this condition, finding an effective solution can be life-altering.
