What Is Halo?
Halo is the world’s first hybrid fractional laser to combine ablative and non-ablative resurfacing in a single treatment.
Halo fractional laser treatment uses dual wavelengths to simultaneously combine deep dermal rejuvenation with superficial fractionated ablation. The deeper non-ablative wavelength triggers collagen remodelling in the skin’s structural layers while the ablative wavelength targets the outer layers where visible damage is most noticeable.
Halo helps to reduce visible signs of aging and restore skin’s luminous glow by improving overall tone and texture with significant reduction of fine lines, discolouration, scarring and pore size, delivering the results of deeper resurfacing treatments with minimal downtime.
How Halo Works
Skin is cleansed and a topical anaesthetic applied one hour before treatment to reduce sensation. The surface area is measured with motion tracking technology to ensure even energy application.
Next, the Halo handpiece is rolled over the skin delivering light energy at precisely controlled depths. Patients will experience mild prickling sensation and a feeling of heat that lasts for 15 to 30 minutes. After the treatment, a cooling gel is applied.
Skin will appear red and sunburned for the first 24 hours and develop a uniform bronzing appearance after two to three days as it begins to peel, revealing fresh glowing skin underneath.
Makeup can be worn after 24 hours, and patients can resume normal activities within a few days. Results are visible within two to five days and skin continues to improve over time. One or two treatments a year are recommended, along with diligent, year-round use of sunscreen and antioxidants to maintain results.
